Text Box

Create, edit, and delete text box annotations in DraftPDF.

Text Box annotations place visible free text directly on the page, making them useful for labels, notes, and callouts without leader lines.

Create

  1. Select the Text Box tool from the annotation toolbar.
  2. Click and drag to define the text box area.
  3. Type your text.
  4. Click outside the annotation to finish.

Edit

Select the text box to open the right-side properties panel. The shared General and Metadata sections cover Author, Subject, Page, Rect, Print, Locked, Created, and Modified.

The Text Box panel includes Content and Font controls for Contents, Family, Style, Size, Font Color, Align, and Vertical alignment. Its Appearance section includes Background, Border, Line Weight, and Opacity.

Delete

  1. Select the annotation on the page.
  2. Click Delete at the bottom of the right-side properties panel.
  3. The annotation is removed from the current document immediately.
