Insert Text

Create, edit, and delete insert-text annotations in DraftPDF.

Insert Text annotations mark where new text should be added to existing content without directly rewriting the PDF text.

Create

  1. Select the Insert Text tool from the annotation toolbar.
  2. Drag across the text position where the insertion should be noted.
  3. Type the inserted text in the annotation note field, then click outside to finish.

Edit

Select the insert-text marker to open the right-side properties panel. Its General section includes Author, Subject, Page, Rect, Print, Locked, Created, and Modified, plus a Contents field for the inserted text itself.

Insert Text annotations do not have a separate appearance panel in DraftPDF. Use the Metadata section to inspect or copy the full annotation object when you need the raw PDF details.

Delete

  1. Select the annotation on the page.
  2. Click Delete at the bottom of the right-side properties panel.
  3. The annotation is removed from the current document immediately.
